Stream Support for ODATA V4 - Code based Implementation for Attachments

We are trying to implement ODATA V4 code based implementation and for ATTACHMENTS entity I could not implement STREAM support.

Release - NW AS ABAP INNOVATION PACKAGE 7.51 05 (01/2018)

1. Cannot mark Entity as 'Stream' - using these MODEL APIs

/iwbep/if_v4_med_model

One further research found that entity type 'Stream' is not supported yet (Inline Comments in a attribute class )

2. Create/Get Stream missing in /IWBEP/IF_V4_DP* Classes.

Is this something that is planned for future patches - any timeline would help?

Is there a workaround till then to implement Attachments etc?

Hi Senthilkumar,

support for streams is available as of

SAP_GWFND 751 0006 SAPK-75106INSAPGWFND SAP Gateway Foundation

there is for example the following test case available in the SAP Gateway Client

/sap/opu/odata4/iwbep/tea/default/iwbep/tea_busi_product/0001/Products(1)/ProductPicture/Picture

So you just would have to upgrade your system to SAP NetWeaver 751 SP06 or at least the software component SAP_GWFND.
