Transaction Application not opening in same window as Fiori Launchpad

Hi Experts,

I am creating transaction application in lpd_cust and using the semantic object for navigation , please see the screen shot.

The problem is : it is opening in new window, but I want to open it in same launchpad as it is meant to be used in Fiori Client.

I have followed various blogs like here, and given the addition information also but it is not helping. Please advise.

Hi Rakesh Singh,

It is limitation for GUI apps in S/4 HANA systems. Standard GUI transactions will open in new tab.

From S/4 HANA 1809 version there is option available to launch GUI transaction in same window. For more details please check this blog

Hello Naga,

Thanks for response, I have nothing to do with S/4 HANA. I want to access the SAP transaction from Fiori Launchpad which has been configured in on-premise Gateway server. Launchpad is working fine , tiles has been created and working fine. only concern is it is opening in new tab.

Opening in new tab is not desirable behaviour because we are planning to run it on Fiori Client. Do you have suggestion in this regard.

answer was already given: inplace navigation for WDA Fiori App is only possible with S/4 HANA 1809.
