How to exclude suffix in material

Dear experts,

Please check below requiments

When I run the report

I would like to exclude the end suffix on all material. For example for model TX-P50G20E (274 pcs) and TX-P50G20ES (131 pcs) I want the report to show only TX-P50G20 (405 pcs). Please see print screen below.

Any one know what settings I should do in the BW-report to exclude E and ES in this case above?

These 2 are different materials so cant be changed.

Hi,

This can not be done at query designer level.

Either write macro in some created workbook on this query.

You may stage one more object with required length in staging area/cube/DSO and map the same from the source so in transformation it will remove the last suffix and you will get data as per your need (This will be the easiest way)

Hi,

As per my knowledge it can be done by using of macros or workbook in report level.
