zipped xml export work?

Hi,

A plain xml export seems to be quite trivial using the ftp/file adapter, but how would the zipped xml export work?

Do we need an additional service that zips the message before passing it to the ftp/file adapter, or do we have to implement a whole new adapter?

No need to look for another adapter, you can use the file Adapter to achieve the requirement.
