SAP CBTA - Change Test Variant in Test Plan

Hello All,

Need your help.

We are using Solution Manager 7.2 SP7 with CBTA 3.0.10. We had created a E2E CBTA Script with 20 Test Variants using TDC.

The script is then added to the Test Plan. Suppose, if I want to execute Selected variants, I can control this in the SolDoc. But I had selected all 20 variants to be executed, because each belong to each Company Code.

However, during executions, if Variants 1-10 Passed and Variants 11-20 failed. Each of this variant takes 20 minutes for execution.

So I don't want to waste my time re-executing the passed variants.

But I want to execute only Variant 11-20. Is it possible to change the Variant Selection from Test Plan? I see that this is not editable.

The Variants can only be edited from the SolDoc structure(But it requires regeneration of Test Plan) and it cannot be controlled from Test Plan or Test Package.

Is there any simpler solution to handle this kind of cases?

Hello,

If I understand your requirement you want to execute the same Test Configuration multiple times in the Test Plan each time with different variant.

In the solution documentation you have to link the same Test Configuration multiple times and for each time you have to select different variant in the Solution Documentation. During the Test Plan creation you can create multiple Test Packages and select different variant in each test package. There by executing each variant separately.
