Percentwise item cost of a manufacuring item

Hi experts,

I am trying to configure a BOM cost wherein on the sum total of the value of all the components, i need to charge manufacturing expenses as a percentage basis on the entire sum total.

Say item1 value is 100.00 and item2 value is 50.00 in a BOM, the total component cost is 150.00. Now i need to charge say 12% on 150.00 to arrive at my total product cost.

Can anyone tell me how do i do this?

Is this a Production type BOM?

Adding overhead of 12% dynamically might not be possible within the out of the box capabilities of SAP B1. You might need a small customization.

If possible explain your scenario is different.

Thx for giving me suggestion. Yes this is Production Type BOM.

Is there any other way other than customisation to achieve this?

No, I don't think anything close enough is possible out of the box.
