"Text Editor" cannot be opened after "HTML Editor" was used

Hi,

I created a html-file in Content-Administation > KM-Content > KM-Content and choose option "Edit online" for editing this file in the editors. At first I have choosen the "Text Editor" for editing; then I opened the "HTML editor" for editing. Now, I want to open the same file in the "Text Editor" via "Edit online" again. But the request which editor I want to use, does not appear any longer. The "HTML editor" will be opened automatically without I can make a choice. I tested it several times: Always when I use the "HTML-editor" for this first time for editing a file, then the request for editor-choice will not be opened anymore.

How, can I use the "Text Editor" again - What/Where I have to do, please?

Hi Maik

If a file with text/html mime type contains a valid markup (in terms of "HTML Editor"), you are only allowed to edit it online with "HTML editor". In case of a broken markup you have a choice between "HTML editor" and "Text editor". You may refer to for more background details.

As a workaround for releases of portal before NW04S(EP7.0)SP19 you may edit your file with online text editor in Firefox browser.

Hi,

If you have backup of that file in other quality portal , then you can delete the file and re-create .You can then edit online using text editor.
