Can't copy/move Crystal Reports Objects in CMC

Hi experts,

most recently we installed a new BI platform System on BI 4.2 SP06 P4. I noticed that I can't copy or move any CR reports in the CMC - the options are missing in the context menu / "organize" is greyed out in the menu bar. I'm logged in as a member of the Administrator group which has the Access Level "Full Control" on the folder. I can copy/move other types of objects (e.g. folders), the issue only appears with CR reports. The issue appears with old reports (transported to the new system with Promotion Management) as well as with new created reports.

Any hints on how to solve this?

Hey everybody, we did a re-install of the system to fix this issue. No idea where it came from, but after the second Installation everything works fine.

This does sounds like a rights issue -- if you have Deny set to Everyone on any of the related rights - even Admin group will be affected.
Even Administrator some times.

So, double check that.

Alternatively, the install wasn't successfull (unlikely) and you need to go thru install logs.

I aggree, this soundslike a rights issue - but I checked the rights and it seems that they're fine.

The folder structure looks like this:

- root folder
-- Project Folder
--- some sub-folders
---- our CR Reports

The rights on the root folder are "Full Control" for Group "Administrators" and "No Access" for Group "Everyone". The same rights are defined on the folder "Project Folder" and are inherited to the sub folders and the CR reports. For Troubleshooting I gave "Full Control" to the Group "Everyone" on both the root and the Project folder, but the issue still appears. I also tried this with the Adminstrator user, same issue.

In all szenarios, the context menu for a CR Report just shows the Option to create new objects in the folder (e.g. a publication); all context menu items linked to the CR Report like view, organize, properties, etc. are missing.

Just to eliminate the issue is related to rights, can you login with administrator user and try?
