cost element catogery change

Dear Experts,

Pleae guide me, how to change the cost element catogery from sales deduction (12) to primary cost (1), till now data not exist in gl code. if i change from 12 to 1 catogery any implications?

Hi,

You can change the cost element until you donot have any postings to GL. Cost element category 12 is used for discounts etc..whereas cost element category 1 is used for primary this GL should be assigned to cost object i.e cost centers, internal orders etc..
