Linking external documents using KPro - CRM

Hi Experts,

We have a unique requirement and not sure if anyone implemented this. We have existing documents in external repository (EMC Dcoumentnum) and need to link them to CRM business objects like Contract/Quote etc. This can be accomplished using Archivelink FMs like ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT but we want to accomplish this using KPro PHIO/LOIO objects.

Such as using SDOK_LOIO_CREATE_WITH_PHIO , SKWF_LOIO_WITH_PHIO_CREATE , SKWG_OLS_IO_LINK_CREATE. I can use these to create PHIO/LOIO objects and link it to SAP Business Object eg. Contract.

What i don't want to accomplish is storing content using SDOK_PHIO_STROE_CONTENT but instead link the PHIO to an existing document in an external repository. Did anyone try to accomplish this? Any ideas or pointers in this regard will be helpful.

Thanks,

James Kriplani

    Hi James,

First you have to integrate i.e make a connection between these two then you can use the object otherwise not.

I hope you understood the logic and this may help you.

      Hi,

We already have an integration between SAP CRM and external document repository. All the repository, storage category and LOIO/PHIO classes are configured and working. And Out-of-Box we can add documents using SAP GUI and Web Interaction center.

My question is regarding usage of KPRO FMs and adding documents programmaticaly .

      Thank you, James Kriplani

    Hello James,

Did you manage to accomplish this? We have a similar requirement to link external documents to one of the SAP Objects programatically using KRPO FMs. I would appreciate, if you can give me some pointers about this. Thanks.

    Regards,

    Gopal.
