How to integrate online DMS service (EDMonline) into SAP applications

Hello all,

I am not sure whether this forum is the right place to ask, but since I havent found a better one, here it goes:

We were approached by a customer to integrate ("link") documents hosted by EDMGroup in a service called EDMonline into an SAP GUI application, in this case SAP EH&S Occupational Health Medical Records.

Has anyone here ever had to do something similar involving such an online DMS service?

Could you please share how this can be solved?

Is there a WebService to pull the document, or do you need to start the website with GET-parameters in the URL or something like that?

Hi Frank,

In SAP DMS there is one tab object link, this tab is used to link the various sap objects with documents. In your case the object may not avaialble in standard object list in SAP DMS. You need to do small z-development to add this object in DMS object link.

Also in the perticular object screen, the button for documents as attached in SAP DMS. Take help of abap'r and use screen exit for the new object. This is most easy way to achive this.
