No jurisdiction code in XK02

HI,

While changing the vendor master via XK01, system gives the following error message

"No jurisdiction code could be determined , Message no. TAX_TXJCD101 "

Kinldy let me know your comments on this.

if you have a Vertex system for jurisdiction codes then it is like this:

SAP tries to determine a jurisdiction code, it usually uses the city name, the region, the country, and the postal code to find a jursidiction code.

if any of this fields has a wrong value, then no code is found and error message is send.

often there are problems with the writing of the city name, you can write a city name like this:

Saint Louis

St. Louis

St Louis

but only one of them is the right one to find a jurisdiction code.

user has to enter a valid address. Best take the address from a form of your vendor or try to find the valid address with google.

if you dont mind, then give me the city name, region, country, postal code and I ll try it in my system

In vendor master ,they user has maintained the following information

1. Country - US

2.Postal code -99999

City and region has not mainatined in the vendor master

better you investigate more on the address

99999 is not a valid postal code for US, City and region is mandatory and cannot be left blank

I agreed with you . The client is using Taxware system,In the vendor master ,the region and city are not mainatined.

How to maintain these inforamtion in the vendor master .

you are asking me how to enter address data in vendor master ?

put cursor into field city field and enter a city, do the same for region field. then hit enter.

These abaove information has given by vendor but at the time of saving below error msg is coming

"Jurisdiction code SC2947201 does not correspond to address entered" - can you please advice

from where did you system get the jursidiction code SC2947201 ?

looks like a fake entry, (region concatenated with postal code and 01)

the correct jurisdiction is 4103513271

Thanks for your reply. User saying this jurisdiction code is fetched automatically by the system. How to find the correct jurisdiction code as you mentioned here?

if you dont enter the jurisdiction code yourself, then SAP will find the jurisdiction code base on the given information and return the JC to the field in XK02.

if you enter a JC then SAP will validate if the code matches with the code found according to the given information (postal code , city , region ..)

i created and saved the vendor master with the above mentioned detials(jur.code : SC2947201) .If i gave the same information in the exsisting vendor master ,system is not allowing to save. Kindly let us know the reason for this.

Issue Sloved.After deleting the details in the internation versions ,i could change the address in the address tab.
