BOM change with history requirement

hello,

requirement: CS02 must input Change Number

configuration:OS25: BOM Usage-BOM status -history requirement flag selected

issue: CS02 change BOM, only warning message: Enter change number -BOM has history requirement

how to meet my demand? any other configuration?

pls give me some help, thanks

need 2 do configuration in SPRO / OS27 keep a tick in Enginneering changemanagement active Check box

In OS53 maintain number range for internal number for the change master record number range with suitable number from & to

number

thanks for your reply

but OS27 keep a tick in Enginneering changemanagement active Check box, i also have configed it

the result is the same: CS02-only warning message, not error message

Dear Lee,

Check this link to explore more on the required settings,

1.In OS27 - Check box included for BOM validity maintained,EC Management active,History Requirement.

2.In OS25 - BOM usage 1 & BOM status 1 - History Requirement check box is included.

3.Authorization object C_STUE_NOH is with No.

After making these changes and saving and assigning the same to that user id,logout and login and then

check.

Hello check this SPRO settings ;

Engineering Change Management Setup

This are the basic IMG settings in order to used the engineering change management

features.

x refers to a tick.

First setup the control data in OS54.

Revision sections

Fields :-

Revision level active x

Ext. revision level x

Higher revision level x

Object Management Record sections

Fields :-

Object maintenance x

Assign alternative date x

Overide value/assignment date sections

Fields :-

Only with leading change mst. x

Setting the Revision level active is to activate the engineering change management for

material master. If you do not want the engineering change management for materials,

remove the tick.

With a tick in "Higher revision level", the new revision level has to be always higher

than the old revision.

Secondly, setup the external number range in OS53.

If you use the internal number range, then remove the external number range.

Third, define the status for the change master records in transaction SM30 - V_T419S.

Fourth, define modification parameters for the BOM in OS27.

Fields :-

The rest of the fields are blank.

If the History Requirement is tick, every time during creation of the BOM, SAP will

prompt your for an ECN number as is compulsory.

Lastly, define fields selection for routing in OP5A.

PP task lists: initial screen -> Change number -> Transaction code -> Tick Req.

Setting the Transaction code fields Required indicate that you have make the ECN number

compulsory when changing the routing.

Finally, do a test by making changes to the Material Master, BOM and Routing.

thanks for your help. the reason:Authorization object C_STUE_NOH is with No(this object asign several roles for my user ID), now i set all this authorization object C_STUE_NOH is with NO.

You cannot set the required field. However, it can be controlled via authorization.

Please check the authorization object C_STUE_NOHIS. If the value NOHIS = X then particular users with this authorization can changed BOM without change history. If you don't want to do it then set NOHIS = Blank.

This must also set in conjunction with BOM Status -> history requirement set in configuration (standard setting is 3).

Dear ,

You need to activate Engineering Change Managemnet because BOM changes can be traced out or can be created through EC number in CS01/CS02.To do this please follow the belwo steps :
