OSA - Change of template

client want to Go-Live with OSA (Objective Settings & Appraissal) in just a few weeks time but testing will not be completed by then.

The idea for the moment is to fully test the planning phase, go - live with the planning phase and after go-live to finetune the details of the review process, part appraissals and end appraissals.

However, I'm wondering if this is even possible at all.

In DEV - environment I can't change the appraissal template if individual appraissals are linked to it. So every time, I need to delete the appraissals, cancel the release, make the changes, release template and test the changes.

This makes me wonder what happens in PROD - environment if appraissals already have started (for the planning phase) and afterwards changes to the template are transported into PROD.

Will this make the existing appraissal documents in PROD incorrupt? Is another approach recommended for a phased roll-out of OSA or don't I need to be worried?

Thanks for your inputs.
