Cannot connect to B1i Invalid URI

Dear All,

I'm running SAP B1 8.8 Pl 12 on a MS SQL 2005 SP3 database windows 2008 standard server.

Oracle Java 5.0 SDK EE package is installed and performed upgrade on all databases.

After activating the cockpit I receive the following error message on our test bed machine;

Invalid URI: The format of the URI could not be determined.

Please advice how I can solve this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Jason

Hi Soentpiet ,

If you are using exact B1i server address given by Lisa and in post installation guide of B1i integration component, Please do not use < > symbols with your server name. If you are writing your server name with < > as, for e.g., <Servername> then it will give the error you are encountering.

Hope it will help.

Thanks,

Hi Jason,

This is due to the Incorrect B1i server address given in Administration -> System Initialisation -> General Settings -> Cockpit -> B1i Server Address. You should use the correct server address and ensure you replace <server_name> with the name of your server

http://<server_name>:8080/B1iXcellerator/exec/ipo/vP.001sap0004.in_HCSX/com.sap.b1i.vplatform.runtim...

Ensure you read the Installation_Guide_for_the_Integration_Component and AdministratorGuide_Integration_Component which are in the Documentation folder in the B1ic instalaltion package. There is also a great blog written by Janos on the SDN with very useful tips
