More than one instances found for name: DVEBMGS02.

hello ,

we are in the beginning of an upgrade from 4.7 enterprise X110 to

ecc6 ehp4

after starting the upgrade gui i get the following error message -

rror while creating request list - see preceeding messages. More than one

instances found for name: DVEBMGS02.

i can't move further with the upgrade - i checked and there is only one

instance in the server

please advise - we can't come forward with the upgrade

Hi,

Make sure that there are no duplicate profiles available in the profile directory. The profile directory should contain only three profiles (Default, startup and instance). There should not be even a backup file in that directory.

no duplicate or old profile files - just the regular 3 - default , instance , start profiles

Please check if the server contains the same usr\sap\SID dir. structure on another drive.

i have checked - only one structure of usr/sap/sid in the system

hi checked again 0 there was a network map that had usr/sap of a different system thnsks!
