Variable import from clipboard

Hello experts,

how can import values from clipboard for a variable screen in BEx 7.0?

In BEx 3.x there was a button for this.

Is there any resolution to this? We have the same issue and would like to deactivate this function if possible or any advice how to improve the performance for our users.  Thanks

Hi,

in var screen

select the F4 dropdown box for one of your variables.... (history opens by default)

you see a more>>>> button appear on your in the lower right hand corner?

select this...

to paste from the clip board, click into the empty selections box on the right hand side

and select Ctrl V... to paste...

or to upload from a text file....

click on the more>>>>>> button

right click in the empty right hand selections box and select 'upload from selection'...

select the text that you want to import.

but why does it take so much time when I insert a lot of values (e.g. 10000 values?). in bex 3.x that was much faster!

Hi,

It takes more time then 3.x. As it checks the master data or valid values at that time only. So it performs the "Check" functionality while copying but in 3.x it doesn't.

is there any chance to deactivate this function? Otherwise it take hours e.g. when I insert 100.000 values by txt-import.
