Hi All,
I've seen quite a few posts where people are asking why they can't using the Addition to Stock putaway strategy with mixed storage. Seems the only real answer is SAP say its not possible.
I understand completely that it can't work with a capacity check that's based upon a material (ie types 1,2 or 3).
But the other capacity checks based on 'key figures' sound perfect for this requirement. These capacity checks are not based on any dimensions, so for example, you would set the bin capacity as 1000.
Then set your master data so that material A consumes 10, material B consumes 50, material C 20 etc etc.
If during putaway the system finds that a material already exists in the warehouse, it would be a simple calculation to work out if there is available space in the bin.
Why would this not work???
ps. In fact, what strategy would you actually use with the capacity check I mentioned?
Thanks
Guy
Whoops.
I'm not sure that's possible....

Hi Guy,
please remove the tag "Software Logistics", as this is different to logistics software!
Thanks, Boris
