Self password management in SAP 4.7

Hi Techies,

Is it possible to configure self unlock and password management in SAP 4.7?

As currently our helpdesk is handling this, they are receiving so many unlock and password requests per a day.

It seems we are spending more cost on resources and also a waste of time for a pretty work.

So waiting for your inputs and possible ways.

One solution which i can think of is ask the abappers to write a program to unlock the users.They can write a BDC which would record the session of unlocking the users.Then put this program as a step in a job and run this job every 15 mins or whatever frequency you want this job to run.Thanks.
