We use two types of quotes - one we replicated to ERP and retrieve the costs via external pricing. Then we create a follow up Quote, which we submit submit for approval, here we use only external pricing and do not replicate. We have different item types for these quote types. When we create a follow up quote, the item type for products from the previous quote just gets copied and results in error, when requesting external pricing. We checked all the Settings in Business configuration for quotes and Code lists, but cannot find the reason.
Hi Günter,
SAP implemented a hoftix for this issue.

I assume this is related to your item type. Once a new item type has been configured, code list mapping needs to be provided for all item types. This includes the standard item types which are relevant for external pricing or document replication to the SAP OnPremise system. With the appropriate mapping, you can achieve an item type defaulting in the sales documents based on your external pricing call.
