Chart of accounts through Data Transfer Workbench

Hello Experts,

I am trying to import Chart of accounts through Data Transfer Workbench, But system says that, "Illegal parent no.Application-defined or Object-defined erroroChartof Account."error 65171. I've checked the existing chart of acount and given the same account no. to Parent account but still problem is there.In error file it doesn't show any changes regarding it,what it earlier shown,i've corrected... Plz suggest the solution.

Hi Usha,

Check that the account you are indicating as the parent is set up as 'Title' account and not an 'Active' account. Otherwise, the 'To Go' link is very well detailed with information.

PS Some times entering the accounts in order of level facilitates the import. After each level import, it is easy to verify the results before importing the next level; corrections can be easily made to prevent errors in subsequent imports.

Hi Usha,

check the father accounts... This error happens only when the father account selected is incorrect or title accnt is not checked. Check all these. And try to post some data here that you are trying to import.
