Hi All,
I configured Dep Key for 2% WDV Calculation.
Let me explain with an Example. We calculated the useful year = asset value/dep rate
so we used to give the above useful life for the asset, and in dep key we simply told abotut WDV method. No percentage rate nothing we maintained.
System is calculating the WDV method.
Is there any way to specify that this is the percentage rate of depreciation.
And how to calculate dep from the date we purchase the asset, we dont want to calcualte either from 1 st april or from 1st sept.
We want deprciation to be calculated from the date when we purhcase the asset.
regards,
shashi
Hi,
(1) Is there any way to specify that this is the percentage rate of depreciation.
SPRO> Financial Accounting (New) > Asset Accounting > Depreciation > Valuation Methods > Depreciation Key > Calculation Methods > Define Declining-Balance Methods
Here you define your 2% in both field maximum percentage and minimum percentage againest your WDV method assigned to your depreciation key
(2) And how to calculate dep from the date we purchase the asset, we dont want to calcualte either from 1 st april or from 1st sept. We want deprciation to be calculated from the date when we purhcase the asset.
SPRO> Financial Accounting (New) > Asset Accounting > Depreciation > Valuation Methods > Period Control > Define Calender Assignments
Here you need to enter againest youe fiscal year variant, 365 eatries for each day, so that depreciation gets calculated from that particular day.
SPRO> Financial Accounting (New) > Asset Accounting > Depreciation > Valuation Methods > Depreciation Key > Calculation Methods > Maintain Period Control Methods
Then here you need to assign the period control to your period control method assigned to your depreciation key.

Gaurav
