Clearing of differences in inventory Management

Hi,

We are doing inventory management and when i try to clear the differencies, system show me the following message:

"Clearing only from storage type with no placement or removal strategy.

Can you explain me please.

Yes, we are clearing the differencies of some material that are in the warehouse. For some types of storage are showing the message. Not for all.

how many storage types that hold differences do you have ?

usually there is only one storage type which is designed for inventory differences: stirage type 999.

if you count in storage type XYZ and you have a difference.then you first clear the difference in WM with LI20.

this adjusts the quantity in XYZ and post the difference to storage type 999.

and with LI21 you clear then 999

hi,

the material which you are trying to clear the difference is subjected to warehouse management.

check for the storage type defined for the material in the material master warehouse management view and check for the storage type settings in the configuration

SPRO -> Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Master Data -> Define Storage Type
