SRM vs E-Sourcing

Hi,

We are trying to figure out if we can use E-Sourcing or inherent SRM functionality for contract management.

Per my limited understanding, there are two ways to go - using the native contract management functionality in SAP SRM or the one in the eSourcing module that was acquired via Frictionless.

The capability of the two applications is different as well as the available out-of-the-box APIs for integration to SRM and ECC.

Please advise and your thoughts are much appreciated.
