how to show cell# in Who's who

we need to show the cell# stored in infotype 6 (Address) in the standard ESS iView 'Who's Who' for employees from different countries (canada, UK etc). was anybody able to do this?

Different countries store cell#s in different fields in infotype 6. For instance, Canada stores cell# in P0006-AREA1 P0006-TELN1; UK stores cell# in P0006-COM01 P0006-NUM01.

how can we do this?

we have created a custom infoset query based on the standard infoset query HR_XX_PA_ESS. We added the extra fields PA0006-AREA1, PA0006-TELN1, PA0006-COM01, PA0006-NUM01.

But when these fields are populated in the backend, the employees do not show up in the hit list in Who's Who.

Tiberiu

Firstly it should be possible for certain countries on certain SAP version and SP level to store Communication Types

in 0006 - these may vary depending on the format - most countries have TELNR which stores main telephone number - then they may have COM field and a number field - in this case of US - they also have AREA1 for 3 digit area code whereas UK has just NUM01 for complete number

Alternatively it should be possible to view and maintain CELL in the standard WIW/COD application and query

via structure SYHR_A_P0105_AF_CELL

Best wishes

yes you have to add all the fields which are possible for CELL for ESS scenarios

and query them in Sap Query in your own infoset

So after doing this, what doesnt work. the search /??
