Dear All,
I have an issue. When i am reducing the quantity in ME22N to short-close the PO, the PO goes for release.
What could be reason which allows re-release when I am REDUCING the Po qty and value?
Plz help.
hi,
if the release strategy u have defined in release procedure may be different i.e: the scale you have given for the orderd value / order quantity differ thgen it goes for re release

Hi,
Let me explain to you. If you have 3 release strategies namely,
1. 0-100 rs
2. 100-500 rs
3. more than 500
So if your PO is created with 1000 rs & 50 qty system will trigger the 3rd release strategy. for that you have done GR & IV for 10 pieces. Now if you try to close the PO the value becomes zero and the 1st release comes to effect. This is how release works.
Hi,
If you have created the release procedure with total net order value and If you are changing the value of the PO system will automatically go for re-release.So you can lock the line item so that it will be closed & GR cannot be done.Hope it helps.

Thanks for the response.
Let me explain you the issue -
I have made the PO for 100 pieces - > PO Approved - > GR done for 10 Pieces -> IR done for 10 Pieces.
Now i tried to short close the PO as there will not be any more purchase against the PO.
When i did the same, its triggered for Approval.
Hi,
Check in following path & see changiability indicator maintaioned as 4 or 6 in release indicator
SPRO>MM>Purchasing>PO>Release Procedure for PO>Define Release Procedure for PO>Release indicator-->Release indicator
