Hi Gurus,
Firstly, I should warn you that I'm a CRM bod not an SRM person, so apologies if I come across as clueless or am asking an obvious question.
We have a central person (employee) BP assigned to their position in the Org Structure, but their user assignment has previously been deleted. I am trying to recreate that assignment (so that account history is not lost in the system for that user), but am struggling to find a way to do it (as the "assign" option on the BP for assigning the user is greyed out in Org Management).
We have Component version SRM 4.00 (listed as SRM_SERVER = 500 though) on SAPKIBKS05 with a SAP_BASIS release of 640 on SAPKB64012.
I have found some SAP help under the section "Assign user accounts to employees" at Link: [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm50/helpdata/en/3f/d6ac391acc5008e10000000a11402f/content.htm] which says that I can do what I am trying to do by using the function 'Assign User Accounts to Employees' but we do not seem to have this in our system. The help file is for SRM 5.0 judging by the URL, and our help file does not include this section.
Any help or guidance is much appreciated!
Thank you in advance,
Andrew Griffin.

Venkat,
Many thanks for your response - we have looked in users_gen and could not locate this function.
We have a suspicion that it is not available in our version of SRM - users_gen is the transaction covered in the help file that I included as part of my original post, which relates to a later version of SRM to our release. As mentioned in my original post, this function is not referrred to in the same help file for our SRM implementation.
Kind Regards,
Andrew Griffin.
Hi Andrew,
I am also working on SRM5.0.
As a turn around solution please check if have the program "BBP_USER_COMPARE" in your system.
When clicked on the "Assign User Accounts to Employees" it takes you to this program. As this is an executable report program
you can use this progarm.
Regards,
Venkat
Hi Venkat,
Thanks for your quick reply.
When I go into transaction SE80, and look for program BBP_USER_COMPARE I get the message "Program BBP_USER_COMPARE does not exist. Create Object?".
Just to clarify, although the online help file I mentioned relates to SRM 5.0 we are running component SRM 4.00, and our help file does not seem to mention the function 'Assign User Accounts to Employees". The following is our component information (for some reason our SRM_SERVER shows as 500 even though the component shows as SRM 4.00 under system status).
