sop for traiding company

Hi All,

iam new in pp,My client is in traiding not in manufacturing ,they need to config system for mid term & long term planning with mrp run for procurement only instead of production.how we can map in system.can provide steps.

can we do sop without production planning,what will be the flow?

If any body having document on sop please provide me.

Hi Gajendra,

1. Since you are a trading company no production is done ,but procurement and sales will be part.

2. Make your material as externall procured and proceed with the MRP planning.

3. you can use the SOP for doing demand mangement

Yes, you can do S&OP for trading. You enter sales plan in S&OP, transfer to Demand Management as Planned Independent Requirement, then run MRP. The output is the PR that generated. You can review PR and convert them to Purchase Order.
