Hi,
For some reasons, our operational environment and/or personal profile folders need to be "cleaned" on some sort of regulation policies. I found out that when we check-out a KM document, it will be saved in, for most cases, to C:\document and settings\<my_profile>\Local Settings\Temp\docservice\<some_long_name_folder>. When our clean process runs, all these temp documents get deleted automatically.
Therefore i need to ask this question that whether we can customize the disc location for KM files? For example all employees have a "safe" D drive, so it will great if KM temp documents can be saved in D drive rather than in the default profile folder in C drive. We are running on XP SP2 and Portal 7.0 sp4.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
J.
Hello Jiang,
You can change this by setting your environmental variables to point to a different temp location. Make sure that you point it to an existing folder. See SAP notes 898637 and 755581 which show how you can do this.

Lorcan.
