Hi,
I am trying to configure automatic packing during an outbound process.
The goal is to automatically pack several boxes onto a pallet according to a packaging specification.
(A) How can this be achieved during picking? (E.g. total pick amount 100 PC, boxes of 10 PC on stock, pick 10 boxes and consolidate them automatically on 1 pallet)
(B) Same picking scenario, but do consolidation on a work station. Is there an "automatic packing" functionality like in the inbound process?
Any hints are appreciated.
Best regards
Andreas
Hi,
For requirement A, you need to create a pick HU. Considering the removal WT is of 100 PC, when the picking begins you create a blank pick HU and as you start the picking process you move each of the the picked source HU into the pick HU. At the end your pick HU becomes the ship HU. The number of pick HU's to be created can be automated in the POSC setup under the packing profile settings. There are rules - like the total weight, volume of the pick task based on which you can configure the number of pick HU's are required.
For B, I think this scenario is applicable when you have picked 10 different boxes for the same ODO and kept them temporarily into a consolidation zone. You can configure the RF setup to consolidate the picked HU's. We had done a custom development because the consolidation zone was quite big and there was a change of error that HU's for different ODO's could be consolidated. The consolidation group in the HU could be kept as a reference.

Hi Sushant,
thanks for your answer.
Seems like there is no automatic creation of ship HUs from several pick HUs, neither during picking nor on a packing work station.
