Client won't update to the latest patch release

I have SBO running locally on my laptop running Vista and SQL Server 2005 SP2. I use this for demo and testing purposes. I was previously running v8.8 PL:05 and have successfully upgraded my server components to PL:12, as well as all other components (SDK, DTW, DIAPI, etc.). No errors were generated during the upgrade process. But when I attempt to upgrade my client, the splash screen shows that I'm installing PL:05 and not PL:12.

I completely uninstalled my client and ran a registry cleaner utility to rid my registry of any bad or orphaned keys. I manually ran the client install from B1_SHR folder 'as administrator' but the splash screen still displays PL:05.

How can I resolve this and get the PL:12 client to install?
