Is it possible to assign an NC code in a route script?
Alli,
As I know, it is possible but not recommended due to logging NC should be implemented with adhering transactional mechanism, however, routing script does not have this. Thus, routing script is meant for decision-making as to next step and no production activity should be performed within script execution.

My route script is making a decision about whether or not to send an SFC to repair based on the elapsed time. However, once the SFC is at the repair operation the operator has no indication of why the SFC was sent there. I'd like to automatically open an NC as a result of the route script so the operator knows exactly why it was routed to repair and thus, what work needs to be done.
