FI-SL Planning. No figures can be entered in GP12N

Hello!

The following problem occurs in FI-SL planning: it is necessary to input the plan data in SAP manually, but the column with figures in transaction GP12N is not ready for input.

This operation is made in table group Z*. A ledger is customizeg in this table group. A version for plannig is customized in this ledger. For planning Planning layout is customized and Planner Profile is defined.

It is possible to enter characteristics in GP12N but in Overview screen and in Posting period screen all the fields including columns for Plan amounts are not ready for input.

What can be the problem?

Go back to where you defined the planning layout and the select one by one the various columns and click on Formatting on the Menu Bar and then click again on Ready for input y/n

Yes, I already did it: "Data can be entered manually in the selected area".

But unfortunately still the figures are not ready for input.

Can there be any other reasons?

Let's say you made the corrections after the File Description was generated, in such a case, you would have to delete the file description from the planning profile first. After you've deleted the file description from the planning profile, use program RKCDPREO to reorganize the file description.

Use SE38 to execute RKCDPREO. Select the check box for the file description and then click on file description on the menu bar and then delete nonreferenced file descriptions. Once this is complete, go back and regenerate a new file description. It will still be the old name though but let the system generate it automatically.

1. Actualy in the example I described the values could not be entered in SAP directly without integrated Excel in planning.

2. But with activation of integrated Excel there is the followig problem - Excel list appears in GP12N but when plan amounts are entered no data is saved. I think it could be the same problem as in data entry in SAP directly.

May be there is something to be changed in ledger customizing?

Just to ask. Are you coining your own phrase "is not ready for input" or it is the system giving you this message? If it is the system, then the problem lies in your planning layout columns.

I believe you are working with a special purpose ledger. Planning with SPL can sometimes be very tricky. You may want to do the following:

1. Check the Z-tables to see if they contain any data if you've not already done so yet. Especially the Z table which ends with the letter "P".

2. Save the excel sheet as a template with data in text format.

3. Set your planner profile with t.code GLPSET

4. Use GLPLUP to upload your data

I do not believe the problem is with the ledger customizing but hey I may be wrong.
