How to dynamically choose a destination whit OData Provisioning

Hi,

I am using OData Provisioning on the SAP Cloud Platform connected to multiple backend ERP system.

When I register an OData Service in OData Provisioning I set multiple destinations representing each ERP systems. One of them is set as default.

If a user is not known in the "default" backend, I got an error when consuming the service.

So I would like to be able to dynamically choose the destination. This is possible with the gateway "on-premise".

Do you know how to achieve this with the odata provisioning ?

Thanks,

Benoît

Wondering if you managed to find a solution for this?

Dear Benoît,

I think the configuration for multiple Backend System in OData Provisioning is only usefull for usecases like the Inbox where i.e. Workflows from multiple systems are displayed in a consolidated way (Multi Origin). If you need the backend determined by the user role I think you need to switch to SAP Gateway on prem.

Hi Gregor,

Thanks for you quick answer.

Do you know if SAP foresees to put the same functionality (determine dynamically the backend as with the gateway on-premise) in place within Odata provisioning ?

Thanks,

Benoît

OData Provisioning looks to me being only in maintenance mode. I would suggest to raise an Incident at SAP and ask for it.
