warehouse stock in item master data is different from warehouse stock in ba

Hi ,

One of our client uses SAP B1 2007B PL 18. For one of the batch managed item say item A, it shows the stock in warehouse X to be 18 in item master data. But when i look at the batch transaction report it shows the same stock 18 in warehouse Y. How do i rectify this issue. Please advice.
