Hi,
Im' on SAP B1 9.3.
I want to expose a very very basic view to the service layer. I created my view in SAP hana studio.
All tutorial or manual talk about stuff I can't just find. It seems we need a PH.D in SAP to do what a technical guy was doing 20 years ago on Oracle or MSSql.
In the official manual "Working with SAP Business One Service Layer" section 3.8.2
1. Start SAP Business One client.
2. Open the SAP HANA Model Management window.
3. Select views and check the corresponding Service Layer Expose checkbox.
4. Restart Service Layer to effect the changes.
--->I CAN'T FIND "SAP HANA Model Management window. " <----
Like I said, I create a simple view that give me one field containning the last batch number. Very basic, simple, easy stuff.
I want to expose this view to service layer.
1-Is it possible ?
2-Is there any reliable "how-to" or instruction to do it with my SAP B1 9.3.
Very very frustrating, I know SAP want us to go on HANA but seriously, this kind of thing was very easy on Oracle and MSSQL 20 years ago.
Need help to find a way to expose a view and at same time regain confideance in the futur with HANA.
Best Regards,
I have 2 companies and in one of them the menu item SAP HANA Model Management is shown and not shown in the other one. How can I enabled this in all my companies?
Best

Hi Philippe,
I don't know how to expose a view to service layer. But I am exposing stored procedures by using hana xsjs documents. I suggest you to try because they can be very useful.
