Free goods stock determination

whys is it that if that ATP determines that the main item is out of stock, the subordinate free good item (item category BVNN) is still delivered?

is there some setting i can make in the system that allows me to stop the determination of the free good item once the main item is out of stock?

This is master data setup. Have you tried maintaining 'Delivery control' field in the Free Goods Master data set up (VBN1/VBN2)?

This is the last column but one. It is called 'Free goods delivery control'. Here you have 5 options, choose according to your need.
