SAP ECC and Gateway components mismatch, is it Okay? to have latest gateway and ECC EHP 6 / 7?

Experts,

We have ERP system and separate gateway (Central Hub Architecture). Can we have latest packages in Gateway and ERP in lower end version? Do you see any conflicts in such installation, I agree if we have any standard FIORI apps then need to check their compataility but other cases do you see any issues with this approach?? please suggest.

ECC system

Required Components Prerequisite SAP Release EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 / NW7.40 SAP NW ABAP 7.31 or 7.4 Other Components IW_BEP if <7.4 Others Unicode systems are preferable

Gateway System

SAP User Interface SAP_UI 752 SP04 (Latest) SAP NetWeaver Release SAP NetWeaver 7.52 Product Instance(s) Central App UI NW731 or Central App UI NW740 Other Components SAP_BASIS 752 SP latest, SAP_APPL 752 SP Latest, SAP_GWFND 752 SP Latest Others Unicode systems are preferable

1. Kindly refer the SAP Note 1942072 to know the latest SAP Gateway components supported SAP NW version detail.

2. Could you share the current SAP system version details and target release?
