Problem to display .tif and .fax documents with the ECL - Viewer

Hi @ all.

We have some kind of problems with the ECL Documentviewer.

If I want to add a document with the format .tif or .fax to a calculation the ECL Viewer displayed this document. If my colleague wants to display this document the SAP GUI would like to open the document with an external program and not with the ECL Viewer. I have already controlled the setting in "Make Settings for Storage and display". Everything is as well as artificial.

Besides, we both use the same version of the GUIs.

Does somebody know advise why my colleague ECL Viewer does not want to Display the documents in the ECL Viewer?

I have looked around nothing found yet.

I need help.

Hi,

Did you check if both computers has the ECL Viewer installed? It doesn't matter the version of the SAP GUI, if ECL Viewer wasn't installed before.

If you can't open a file which has the customizing "Define Workstation Application" set to open your file with ECL Viewer, it means that machine doesn't have ECL Viewer installed.

Hello,

Check in transaction OAG1 and use the option "Use HTML Control".
