People usually get paid VERY large dollars for being able to answer these kinds of questions, including how many actual upgrades are going to have to occur to get from 3.1i to ECC6.0 (probably not a single jump). One obvious challenge is going to be retraining the users for ECC 6.0, the functional and technical support staff (for NetWeaver 7.01 or 7.02).
Has your employer/client contemplated asking SAP or an SAP partner consulting firm to take a look at this? Or, were you the consultant hired to provide these answers?
