Hi Experts,

Our SBO COMMON database transaction log is 36G in size. Is this a normal sized for SBO COMMON? If not what should I do? Please help.

Thanks very much,

Ben

Hi Ben,

No. That is way more than normal size. Have you set up recovery model as Simple ?

Thanks,

Gordon

Hi Gordon,

Thank you for the reply. I don't know where to go to setup this recovery mode. Is it safe to change the SBO COMMON setting?

Could you give me some details please?

Thanks,

Ben

It is no danger. You need to use SQL Management Studio to find SBO-Common's property. Under Option - Recovery Model, change to simple if it is not.

Hi Gordon,

I still could not find this Recovery Model. I am using SQL 2005 Standard. I have Recovery section. But it has only Page Verify item with three options, TornPageDetection, Checksum and Non. Checksum is selected.

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Gordon,

I looked SBO COMMON transaction log size and it is the same 36G. When do I expect it to be in normal size?

Thanks,
