Planning on migrating our BusinessObjects XI 3.0 server from Tomcat 5.5 to 6.0.26. Looking for any available documentation/best practices/possible problems related to this procedure.

BOE XI3.0 was not tested/supported on Tomcat 6.x
You need to use Xi3.1 SP3 minimum.
Then follow tomcat user manuals found here : http://tomcat.apache.org
And Web application Deployment guides found here : http://help.sap.com/businessobjects
