Hi guys,
In my coy a member of staff shutdown the SAP Server abnormally causing inconsistencies in the database. The SAP system runs on an MSSQL database.
The next morning the dispatcher was not starting and i checked the database. Apparently, i could not login to the database so i changed the default database to master. I could login alright so i tried running the ALTER LOGIN.... which did not run.
Drilling down i found out that the database was marked "SUSPECT" so i tried to take it offline and detach it. I got the error "attempt to retrieve data for object failed for server".
I would appreciate your prompt response on this.
Regards
Basisman.
It happened to us too, we had to restore the database.
