One valuation class one material type. You can create different valuation classes for other material types with same G/L accounts assigned to other valuation classes, thus meeting your requirement of hitting one G/L account for all valuation classes.

Hi,

Is it better to have one valuation class for all material types or different valuation class for diff material types.Which lead to less confusion in mapping

Multiple Material types > One ACR > Multiple valuation classes assignment is possible can be done through OMSK

Check this link:

I dont think one valuation class for multiple material types will work.

Account category reference is the link between the valuation classes and the material types. The account category reference is a combination of valuation classes. Precisely one account category reference is assigned to a material type. In the standard SAP R/3 System, an account category reference is created for each material. The account category reference is, in turn, type assigned to precisely one valuation class. This means that each material type has its own valuation class.

How it 'll link the valuation class and ACR and material type .??
