Dear Auditya,

You would need to run the Upgrade.exe file order to upgrade DB to 8.8. Follow the instructions in the Upgrade Wizard.

Note: All users need to exit out of SAP B1 and please do not connect to the db you are trying to upgrade in SQL Management Studio. If you connect to the db the company database check box will be disabled in Upgrade Wizard. Also, please check PatchReadMe.pdf that comes with SAP B1 8.8 PL05.

Auditya,

Did you restore the backup with .bak extension? Let us assume that you did. In the upgrade wizard, make sure you choose the right SQL Server 2005 or 2008, Server and Logins and move to the next screen.

Dear All,

I did face the same thing like this, and i found one solution:

1. run SBO-COMMON upgrade manually from package folder.

2. run upgrade wizard.

should be ok to select company database after that.

Hi Experts,

Our SBO COMMON database transaction log is 36G in size. Is this a normal sized for SBO COMMON? If not what should I do? Please help.

Thanks very much,
