One step workflow

Hi,

I have a requirement from my users where they want an Update CR type/workflow, where there is just on step . When the users logs into MDG and update some fields, he should be able to activate . This is the first and last step. The activation/replications happens in ECC and the workflow is complete. There is no approver. The requestor is the approver.

I have a CR type and im Rule based workflow. Couldnt really figure out what to enter in DTs.

Is there any possibility for configuring this

I got the solution for this. For those who are interested, they can check the config I did in brf+. It works like gem

Hi Muhammad,

As a Best Practice one should not opt for background job.

Thanks,

Hi Michael,

Thanks for replying on this thread.

So I read the OSS note and I guess my question refers to "7. Example". It seems that the answer to my question is that "The change request requires a manual approval and activation step".

From your experience, have you seen any case where we can do this manual approver as a background job?

Regards

Muhammad

Hi Muhammad,

yes, we have seen many mal-functions of the MDG Governance Process caused by automated approvals. You need to be aware that SAP is not responsible for the same, since MDG is used in an un-intended way. 😉

I agree with Michael. MDG is Beautiful Framework we should stick to the Framework Rules. Its like jumping divider in two lane highway and taking U turn :-).

Thanks,

Mahesh
