Hi,
I am new to ESourcing and xApps. I noticed, while going through some SAP demos, there is integration between xApps and CLM. I noticed you can create and update ESourcing components from xApps application.
Is this functionality available in ESourcing 5.1? Where can I find additional documentation on this integration?
I see we can create Project/Contract/RFx from xApps to ESourcing. What does 'Update' function do from xAPPs?
Another fundamental question. Once I create a project for a spend initiative (for example: An initiative to reduce spend on office supplies by 5%), how do I track the progress on that task? Is there integration between xApps/BI to ESourcing for it?
I appreciate your help on answers to these questions.
Thanks,
SG
Hi,
The integration that you are talking abouot is the integration between E-Sourcing and SPM (Spend Performance Management). This integration is available from E-Sourcing 5.1 and above.
Below is the summary of the integration between E-Sourcing and SPM.
1. From SPM, you can create E-Sourcing project, RFx, and Auction events and send aggregate spend info to E-Sourcing including
u2022Items
u2022Price
u2022Suppliers
u2022Quantity
u2022Target price
u2022Category
2. After running new spend analysis in SPM, user can update existing E-Sourcing project, RFx, and auction events with updated data.
3. From E-Sourcing, project and contract based spend information can be extracted and provided to SPM automatically for further analysis in SPM.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Steven
