Unable to record a pop up window script

the script has to save at the end of the process. but it comes to this pop up window and all i want it to do is to just click that "save" button on the pop up window and exit. However, the pop up window does not appear on my recorded script. it stops as soon as it hits the original save button at the top left of the screen. How do i locate the save button on the pop up window and hit save on it?

If that popup is from Persona Flavour, I believe you are out of luck.

SAP GUI Scripting combined with SAP Screen Personas

SAP GUI Scripting (not SAP Screen Personas scripting) cannot be combined with UI elements created by SAP Screen Personas flavors. This for example means that you cannot run a SAP GUI Script which clicks a button that has been introduced by a SAP Screen Personas flavor. This also implies that test automation via tools which make use of SAP GUI Scripting is not possible for such elements. The scripting via SAP Screen Personas flavors itself is not impacted by this; SAP GUI Scripting and SAP Screen Personas scripting are not directly connected to each other.

    Hi,

I'm not certain why it isn't recording the step, but I have a workaround for you. If you still have the script editor up at this point, great, if not, open it up, and then use the Object Selector to inspect and ID the button.

It looks like you're working with a modal window (popup), so it will be something along the lines of wnd[1]/tbar[0]/btn[X]. Add a session.findById("wnd[1]/tbar[0]/btn[X]").press() to your script in the appropriate place, and it should macro press the button for you.

    • Hello

      A very similar question

      Hope you can help.

I have scoured the internet trying to find a solution with no avail.

Work has locked the VBA, so cannot record. (That's too easy)

I have excel opening a session, and running a transaction. No problems there.

The problem I have, when export as a spreadsheet, a pop up appears asking a question.

(with 2 option buttons), Table or Pivot table.

It’s default is Pivot table. I cannot get the handle on the option buttons to select Table.

Is there a way getting the info off the form, or looping the controls, as in excel VBA

      Dim CrtCont As Control

      For Each CrtCont In UserformSAP.Controls

      If TypeName(CrtCont) = "OptionButton" Then

      ***'Do something like

      Session.findByID("wnd[1] /1TableOPTIONBUTTON2").press

      End If

      Next CrtCont

Any help on this would be great.
