Hello All,
Can we have 2 separate dedicated connections in CPI-DS for two different clients in Development systems in S4 HANA? Like we want to connect client 100 and client 200 of DEV environment of S4 HANA to CPI-DS DEV.
if yes, how can we achieve it?
Best Regards,
Anil
Hi Anil,
It is possible to connect the different system to IBP application via CPI-DS. Planning area to be specified in the jobs correctly (source and destination).
You can check CPI-DS SAP help for more info https://help.sap.com/viewer/dab65b1584e04026a132a06a711e3f5a/Cloud/en-US

You can either make multiple datastores, one for each client, or create multiple datastore configurations and each config is connecting to a separate client. https://help.sap.com/viewer/dab65b1584e04026a132a06a711e3f5a/Cloud/en-US/d8c91a5fca8d4d33b6cf645759a...
Usually when loading to IBP the planning area is specified in a global variable ($G_PLAN_AREA), so it can change simply by adjusting the variable value at runtime. https://help.sap.com/viewer/eab8fd1726934516a89eabced318b210/1805/en-US/6ab81455e0803e6ae10000000a44...

Thanks jeff.
We have the same requirement for SDI as well. How do we connect two different systems of S4 with two different planning areas in IBP?
For CPI-DS we can create two different tasks pointing to two different data sources in S4 and then while executing the task we can select right planning area.
For the SDI question please post under the SAP HANA Smart Data Integration tag, so other users can find the question in the future. In general this guide is what you can use to guide setup of IBP-SDI: https://help.sap.com/viewer/f31706b080044e58b9a9acebfb7808b2/1805/en-US/e10f0b5642880033e10000000a44...
