Comparison between periods - IBP

Dear all,

I'm trying to do a comparison between periods. I create a timestamp attribute (SHIPMENTWINDOW), and I wanna do the following calculation:

KF2 = IF( "PERIODID0" = "SHIPMENTWINDOW" , "KF1 @DAYPRODLOCCUST" , NULL)

When I try to open my planning view, I got a SQL Error.

Any thoughts?

Kind regards,

Lorena Fumian

    Hi Lorena,

My bad and I see what is the issue, you are trying to compare PERIODID to Timestamp attribute which is not possible based on the current configuration due to different attribute type and that is the reason you are getting an error.

You need to change "SHIPMENTWINDOW" to INTEGRE, load it same as PERIODID and then use it in the calculation, it will work.

    Hi Lorena,

Assuming you have assigned attribute to the required planning levels correctly, did you try to bring up data in the new view without template?

Also, it will be helpful if you can copy screenshot of the error.

is SHIPMENTWINDOW an attribute to DAY? Is it assigned to the planning level you execute the calculation, assumingly the DAYPRODLOCCUST? Have you put the value from SHIPMENTWINDOW into two single quotes ( '' ) instead of a double quote ( " ) ?-- how to check attribute value

    Hi Lorena

not without further information: Screenshots from the full configuration, and the excel planning view. And do you get the error only when you open a view that contains KF2? Does it happen as well if you remove KF2 and only show KF1? And was that the only change you made to your planning area, or was there something else, e.g. deleting any other attribute or so that was not yet tested?

    • Hi Irmhild,

That was the only change that I made im my PA. And yes, this just happen when I add KF2.

      Follow the KF configuration. zkf2.jpg

      My configuration before was: IF( "PERIODID0" = "$$PERIODID0CU$$" , "KF1@DAYPRODLOCCUST" , NULL)

And works correctly. But now I wanna the comparasion with the data inside the attribute SHIPMENTWINDOW.

      Thanks a lot,

      Lorena

the flag "Calculated" is missing in the key figure header

and you do not use two single quotes, but two double quotes, plus no blanks between those

    Hi Lorena

I would suggest raising OSS message so that SAP Support can check the system logs.
